Partitioning

Partition Magic
- Select the *: drive in Partition Magic
- Right Click it and select create new partition
- Drag the gray box (starts as a bar) left until the New Size area is around 20 gigabytes.
- Select ok, and then in the new window Pick Create New Primary Partition, and the Partition type as NTSF (For windows.)
- Select Apply Changes, restart your computer and it should create the partition before windows boots (this can take some time.)

G-Parted
- Download G-Parted. If you're not running Linux then you'll need to get LiveCD
- Burn the LiveCD or install the program on your Linux system.
- Boot from the CD (usually done by hitting F11 while the system is starting up) and go through the few steps to select your language and graphic settings or open the program.
- If you don't have any unallocated space click the Resize/Move button and decrease the size of the main partition to create an unallocated area, then click apply. You'll should restart if this partiton has windows on it. Go through the previous steps to get back into the program.
- Select the unallocated area and click the New button. Select the size you want, make it a primary partition and a NTSF Filesystem (For windows.) Click apply.

Creating an Image
- Open the program
- Click Backup
- Click Next
- Select the partition you want to back up
- Select You save location
- Check Split Larger Files if you plan on burning the backup onto a CD
- Make Sure Raw Mode is unchecked
- Check compressed if you want to save some space
- Click Next
- Confirm the file names, and you're done.
