Here's what's new Summer 2008:
See how Nortel LearniT materials are being used in two near early summer success stories and see how to use your video camera kit for fun and learning
- Careers were in focus recently at Richardson West Middle School as students conducted Career Bytes video interviews and participated in classroom dialogues with Nortel New Grad Program participants. Nortel LearniT's Career Bytes segments are short, student-produced videos published online. At Richardson, students created interview questions and used digital camera and production equipment to learn more about careers in technology and about using technology itself.
- West Dallas Community Center youth became full-fledged partners with Nortel LearniT ambassadors and Sun Microsystems volunteers in a fun-filled Worldwide Volunteer Day event focusing on careers, using computer and video camera technology, and communication skills. The unique joint endeavor of two large enterprises, Nortel LearniT and Sun will continue at the West Dallas Community Center throughout the year with a quarterly focus on careers and using technology to inspire learning.
