  • With Summer heating up, we're in full-swing providing and improving the best resources to engage, inspire and learn. We're proud that our web site is now more accessible than ever with the addition of closed captioning on all of our technology tutorials. Also new this month is a Cyber Smart program that lets kids teach other kids how to be safe as well as a set of lesson plans designed around NASA's newest educational programs.     We are pleased to announce that all Nortel LearniT Video Tutorials are now available with closed captions. Just select the technology video that you want to view in the Flash format and when the video appears, click on the Closed Caption symbol in the lower right hand corner of the player. The captions can be toggled on/off during playback.

     

     Cyber Smart Students

     

     

    Eisenhower Middle School (NJ) created an innovative approach to ensuring its students were Cyber safe! The school's tech team developed a sixth-grade Internet course to address these safety issues and encouraged students to be active learners by using the latest technologies.

    Science, technology, engineering and math are the focus of this special collection of lesson plans that utilize the newest digital resources from NASA. This new collection of lessons encourages students to edit and repurpose digital audio files from the Discovery Now series that explores aeronautics, inventions and 21st century innovations.
