Nortel LearniT's 21st century e-Teacher training is forging strong partnerships with schools worldwide.  Nortel LearniT, through our web site, and other collaborative initiatives shares the excellent lesson plan outputs of these workshops.

A strong, technology infused set of lesson plans is the excellent outgrowth of the groundbreaking summer 2007 21st century e-Teaching efforts.  From the Nortel LearniT sharing of its 6E + Standards lesson plans approach with Durham Public Schools teachers, grew several dozen  lesson plans on topics covering the full range of educational topics: the arts, ecology, math, science, language arts, social studies, and history.

To answer the question of how Nortel LearniT's 21st century e-Teacher training fosters lesson plans that excite millennial learners, let's take a peek at a training agenda.  Nortel LearniT's master teachers organize training to "walk the talk".

Scheduled sessions reflect the 21st century e-Teaching approach, including exploring today's classrooms, millennial students, and the six principles of e-Teaching: integrate, hands-on, hard skills, promote involvement, connect with the real world, and showcase student efforts.  Participants share their reflections throughout the process by blogging about their learning.  You can find all Nortel LearniT's Lesson Plans organized by grade level or go directly to the Lesson Plans subsite.

As an example, 21st Century Teaching and Implementation Training: From Consumers to Producers, this week's hands-on workshop at Graham Middle School, Alamance County, NC, will immerse teachers in 21st century teaching and learning processes.  A strong focus will be increased comfort levels using technology as a teaching and collaboration tool.  Watch for an upcoming Featured Content report of the workshop and its educational outputs.
